Air Fryer Thai Turkey Meatballs

Who doesn't love a good meatball!!!! These Air Fryer Thai Turkey Meatballs have a flavor explosion in every bite. I know, they don't look like a perfectly round meatball. We don't add bread and milk to our meatballs. I don't know about you, but who wants the extra calories from the bread and it doesn't add any flavor to the meatballs. Heck, I can eat a few extra meatballs by skipping some of the traditional steps. Now, don't get me wrong, those traditional meatballs are good, especially in a spaghetti and meatball dish, but for this recipe the extras aren't necessary.

We love making meatballs and always have them available in the freezer in case we happen to have friends stop by the house. It's great! Just pull them out of the freezer and pop into the oven (or air fryer) and they are ready to go in 20 minutes. How surprised would your guest be if you pull out Thai Turkey Meatball, Spinach and Feta, Italian Turkey, Spicy Bacon Serrano, Bacon Cheeseburger and Buffalo chicken meatballs to snack on. Just make sure to have enough beer to go with them!!!

All of our meatballs can be made in the Air Fryer or oven and, if you want, they can even be grilled!

How to make Thai Turkey Meatballs

One of the key tips for making juicy flavorful meatballs is adding veggies. This helps keep the meat from drying out. We added Carrots, Onions, Ginger, and Cilantro to get all those Thai flavors in every bite.

Mix all ingredients together and form into meatballs.

Air Fry: Place meatballs in the air fryer basket. Air fry at 400 degrees for 14 minutes. Flip Meatballs halfway through cooking.

Oven: Pre heat oven. Place meatballs on a foil lined baking sheet. Bake for 25 minutes, flip and continue baking for 10 additional minutes or until done.

Serve with your favorite sauce. We like them with a peanut sauce. Enjoy!!!!

ENJOY!!!!!

Tips:

  1. The meatballs can be made with Turkey or Chicken
  2. Easily freeze meatballs. Place uncooked meatballs in Ziploc bag. Lay flat in freezer.
  3. It is possible to substitute Light Soy Sauce for a less salty flavor
  4. Use Low Fat Turkey or Chicken. Saves calories and you will not miss any of the flavors.
  5. For Lemon Grass we used a Lemongrass Paste. The Lemongrass paste is so easy to use and has a great flavor. I might go as far to say the paste is a life changer if making Thai recipes!!!!
  6. If you don't like Cilantro replace it with flat leaf Parsley
