The key to making this sautéed broccoli have that great bright green color is to blanch the broccoli first. This trick is a great way to quickly cook the broccoli and to really make it pretty!!!

  1. Cut the broccoli in manageable or bite size pieces.
  2. Bring a sauce pan of water to a boil
  3. Add salt to the water after it starts to boil
  4. Place the broccoli into the boiling water
  5. Blanche the broccoli for 3 to 4 minutes
  6. Drain the Broccoli.

While blanching the broccoli slice the garlic and heat the olive oil in a large pan.

Toss the blanched broccoli into the pan with the garlic. Toss for two or three minutes.
